What a change! There’s zero tree pollen measured in Houston today. We can all rejoice! Here’s the other updates.

Pollen Total:

  • The pollen count decreased from 92 units to 44 units.

  • This represents a decrease of 48 units or 52%.

Mold Total:

  • The total mold count decreased from 9963 units to 8756 units.

  • This represents a decrease of 1207 units or 12%.

Grass Total:

  • The grass total remained the same at 8 units.

Weed Total:

  • The weed total decreased from 56 units to 36 units.

  • This represents a decrease of 20 units or 36%.

Tree Species (Pollen):

  • Carya (Hickory/Pecan):

    • Experienced a decrease in pollen count from 20 units to 0 units (a decrease of 20 units or 100%).

Weed Species (Pollen):

  • Cyperaceae (Sedge):

    • Demonstrated a decrease in pollen count from 10 units to 0 units (a decrease of 10 units or 100%).

  • Plantago (Plantain):

    • Showed an increase in pollen count from 22 units to 26 units (an increase of 4 units or 18%).

  • Typha (Cattail):

    • Experienced a decrease in pollen count from 0 units to 4 units (an increase of 4 units).

  • Urticaceae (Nettle):

    • Demonstrated a decrease in pollen count from 6 units to 2 units (a decrease of 4 units or 67%).

  • Chenopodiaceae/ Amaranthaceae (Amaranth):

    • Experienced a decrease in pollen count from 4 units to 0 units (a decrease of 4 units or 100%).

  • Other Weed Species:

    • Showed a decrease in pollen count from 14 units to 4 units (a decrease of 10 units or 71%).

Mold Species:

      • Showed a decrease in mold count from 4513 units to 2618 units (a decrease of 1895 units or 42%).

    • Basidiomycetes:

      • Demonstrated a decrease in mold count from 1865 units to 1178 units (a decrease of 687 units or 37%).

    • Cercospora:

      • Experienced an increase in mold count from 83 units to 121 units (an increase of 38 units or 46%).

    • Cladosporium:

      • Showed a significant increase in mold count from 2903 units to 4325 units (an increase of 1422 units or 49%).

    • Penicillium/Aspergillus:

      • Experienced a decrease in mold count from 340 units to 157 units (a decrease of 183 units or 54%).

    • Rust:

      • Showed an increase in mold count from 18 units to 32 units (an increase of 14 units or 78%).

    • Smuts/Myxomycete:

      • Experienced a significant increase in mold count from 32 units to 78 units (an increase of 46 units or 144%).
